This episode was filmed before the veteran actor died. Although it is quite strange that the series will be waiting until March until they pay proper respects to Miguel Ferrer, viewers have to remember that his role on the show is not yet over as of this point. Therefore, it could be best to wait until his role finally wraps up. Since the upcoming episode was filmed before Ferrer’s death, such is presumably his final appearance on the show. His role on “NCIS: Los Angeles” is not the only final project that kept him busy before he succumbed to illness.
